Eco Park Foz has put together a special program for the Easter holiday, featuring interactive activities that put children at the center of animal care.
During this period, visitors will be able to help prepare the animals’ “Easter dinner” as part of environmental enrichment activities designed to promote the animals’ well-being and stimulate their natural instincts.
The program begins on Friday (3) at 9 a.m. with workshops focused on birds of prey and the “Imersão das Aves” aviary. Among the activities, children and adults will be able to paint hard-boiled eggs with natural dyes and prepare them as food for species such as falcons, hawks, vultures, and owls.
It will also be possible to make items using seeds in Easter-themed shapes to enhance the birds’ environment.
On Saturday, the program will focus on the monkeys of the Primate Forest. Visitors will help prepare themed meals using personalized paper bags and items that encourage the monkeys’ natural behaviors, helping to break up their feeding routine.
On Easter Sunday, the workshop will take place at the Little Farm, where children can prepare food for the animals—such as bags of hay—and make toys out of paper rolls for rabbits and guinea pigs. In the morning, they will prepare the enrichment activities, and in the afternoon, they will feed the animals.
According to Leandro Mautone, a founding partner of Eco Park Foz, the goal is to give the public a closer look at the animals’ daily lives in an educational and fun way. “Environmental enrichment is a daily practice at the park, with a focus on animal welfare. During the holiday, we’re opening up this experience so that visitors can actively participate and gain a better understanding of the animals’ behavior,” he notes.

In addition to the workshops, visitors can watch birds of prey in flight, play in the playground, visit the Little Farm and the Primate Forest, and take part in the Owl Experience.
